What Merorme is

A private journal. You write, and the app keeps what you wrote so you can find it again later.

What Merorme is not

It is not a medical device, and it does not provide care, advice or professional support of any kind. If something in your life needs a professional, Merorme is not one.

You must be 16 or older to use Merorme. We ask for your date of birth on the first screen for this reason and no other.

Your writing is yours

You own everything you write. We claim no rights over it. You can export all of it at any time, in a format you can read without this app.

What you write and add is yours to answer for

Merorme is private: nobody at Merorme reads, reviews or moderates your journal, and we have no way to. You are responsible for what you write and for the photographs you add, including having the right to add them, and for not using Merorme for anything unlawful.

The replies follow Apple's rules

Mero's replies are written by Apple's models: on your iPhone, or on Apple's servers if you turn Apple's cloud model on. Apple's own safety rules apply to both and can stop a reply; when they do, Merorme says so and your entry is kept as you wrote it. Merorme adds no rules of its own to what you may write. A reply can be wrong, so do not rely on one for a medical, legal, financial or safety decision. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for what you write or add, or for what Apple's models write or decline to write.

If you subscribe

Merorme may offer a paid subscription. If it does, these terms apply to it.

You can stop at any time

Cancel in the App Store — Settings → your name → Subscriptions — and the subscription stops renewing immediately.

Cancelling does not end the period you already paid for, and it is not refunded

A monthly subscription runs to the end of the month you paid for. A yearly subscription runs to the end of the year you paid for. You keep everything the subscription gives you until that day, and you are not charged again.

What happens after

Your journal is yours and stays on your iPhone. Nothing you have written is deleted, locked or held back because a subscription ended, and you can export all of it at any time.

Renewals

A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, at the price shown when you subscribed.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us

Purchases go through the App Store, so we never see your payment details and cannot issue a refund. If you believe you are owed one, Apple's own refund request process at reportaproblem.apple.com is the way to ask.

Where it lives

Your journal is stored on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account. Merorme never receives a copy. There is nothing on our side to read, to hand over, or to lose.

A word about iCloud Backup

Your iCloud backup is encrypted, but unless you turn on Advanced Data Protection in your iPhone's settings, Apple holds a key to it. We cannot turn that on for you, and we will not claim a protection you have not enabled. Settings → your name → iCloud → Advanced Data Protection. We recommend it.

No ads. No data selling. No AI training on your data

All three are true and all three are permanent.

Ending it

Delete the app and nothing of yours remains with us, because nothing of yours was ever with us. Your own copy stays in your iCloud until you remove it.

Changes

If these terms change we will ask you again. Agreeing once does not agree you to something you have not read.
